Markers for RWC Musical Instrument Sound Samples

RWC sample marker files include the onset markers for the following instruments in RWC-MDB-I-2001:

For the moment, there are mainly normal playing style available. For bowed instruments, pizzicato style is also included.

Rendering RWC Standard MIDI Files using RWC instrument samples

Rendering procedure

Make the instrument patches for a sampler using RWC samples of three dynamics (ff, mf and pp).
Separate each MIDI instrument track from the original MIDI file, retaining the tempo track and all control messages and channel messages.
Split each instrument MIDI file into separate tracks such that the rendered samples don't overlap.
Render each monophonic track using a sequencer+sampler system.

Instrument tracks: flute track, oboe track, clarinet track and bassoon track
Separate note tracks:

      flute: note track 1, note track 2, note track 3 and note track 4
         oboe: note track 1, note track 2, note track 3 and note track 4
         clarinet : note track 1, note track 2, note track 3 and note track 4
         bassoon: note track 1, note track 2, note track 3, note track 4 and note track 5

      Ground truth F0 tracks

      Each rendered sample is analyzed by the YIN algorithm to extract the F0s as ground truth. Gathering all the monophonic F0 tracks as the gound truth of multiple F0s for the synthesized polyphonic signal.
