5.8 Context

A context is opened for the active view of the active Frame by using the corresponding item in the Context menu. A context is a structure that contains parameters for different objects and actions such as Buffer, Display, Analysis, etc...

Therefore each view has a Display Context, an Analysis Context, a Buffer Context, etc....
The context Options on the contrary is unique and shared by all the Views, Frames and Windows of the application.

When you open a context it appears as a control panel with number boxes for each parameter to let you see and change parameter values.
Temporarily, many parameter values are represented in the contexts as "numbers" which represent the number in the corresponding section of the "Analysis choice" menu. Look at the menu to make the correspondance between a certain choice and the corresponding number.
