Hi Teresa,
here are the e-mails from A. Camurri and some information about the conference.

Hi!
I hope all is well with you!
Very shortly, a proposal: what do you think about
organizing one or more sessions on Technology of Emotion
at the next IEEE Systems
Man and Cybernetics Conference in San Diego, as i told
you during your visit in Genova?
If yes, do you think you can solicit/collect at least 3-5
contributes (included yours)
and chair one of the sessions we can build up
on these topics?
(I was asked by the general chairman of 1998 IEEE SMC to
proceed, so I thought it would be an interesting occasion
to continue there the work started at the Kansei workshop ...).
My best wishes of merry Christmas and a happy new year.
I look forward to meet you in the near future!

Hello Antonio,
How is everything is Genova? How about the presentation on the 27th/Nov
- did people liked it? We are eager to visit the installation, and as
soon as possible, we will definetly do it!

YEAH, GREAT! We want very much to do it! Thanks for the invitation. You
said it should take place in September or October/98 - is it right?

Yes. Sure. We can make a session on computer music and
kansei/expressivity, control, gestures, perception, etc... We can try to
arrange 5 contributes in the form of papers or tutorials, since we have
already contacted many people (since the Kansei workshop) and they said
they are interested in the discussion. It would be a very nice
opportunity to do it.
I would like to ask you some questions about the Congress format:
- How should it be arranged? Will you be the general chair on this
subject, right?
- The Kansei "approach" will be divided in different sessions, right?
(As it was in the Kansei workshop?) Do you already have an idea of these
topics? Will they follow the Kansei workshop distribution?
- Which is the contributions format: invited papers? tutorials?
lectures? round tables? workshops? This is not clear to me now.

I totally agree. And I do believe this is an interesting topic for the
SMC congress.
Thanks again for your invitation.

you and your familly, and please send our greetings to Roberto,
Riccardo, and everybody else at DIST.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
My idea is to propose to the general chairman one or more sessions on
kansei,
which might be included in the program of the SMC conference in one
of the parallel tracks.
I'd need from you for the first days of january a proposal of session:
title, chairman,
title authors and abstracts of 3-5 papers. Then we submit the proposal to
Frank
DiCesare, general chairman.
I'm out of town until 23dec. Best regards!
Antonio
