We came to this conclusion by analysing the clarinet behaviour - the lip pressure or embouchure acts,as we already pointed out, as setting the point of "operation" of the reed (biasing point). In the case when no proper embouchure value is achieved, no note is produced - this means, breath pressure alone is not sufficient to excite the air column through the reed.
This kind of gestural behaviour is not, to the author's knowledge, covered by the existing gesture typologies.
