The cables of the slider boxes should be fastened to the chosen seats in such a way that people have some freedom in finding a comfortable holding position, but, if dropped, the boxes shouldn't reach the floor, nor should there be any risk of people tripping on the boxes or cables.

The boxes should be in numerical order, but in all cases it is essential to alternate beige and brown boxes.

The slider boxes are connected to the boîtes de scène using several tons of XLR extension cable. These cables should be artfully laid out in long, labyrinthine paths so as to be invisible, or at least to pose no danger of tripping anyone up. At the Centre Pompidou in 2001, the technical crew managed to make the cabling invisible, but they used about 128 * 40m = 5km of cable. If short cuts are necessary due to a lack of cable, inquiries should be made to the forces of public safety and the host's legal representatives regarding constraints on stringing cables all over the place.

Be careful estimating cable needs. The amount of cable necessary due to the above constraints is phenomenal. The phrase "several tons" may turn out to be a fair estimate. It might be judicious to have a line on borrowing extra cables at the last minute, should the necessity arise. The incurred costs can be astronomical, especially if you have to get the cables from Hollywood.

Each numbered slider box must go to a particular input of a specific boîte de scène. Here are the correspondences between the 128 numbered slider boxes and the boîte de scène input numbers:
