A problem with both template adjustment and weight adjustment is that distortion may be easy to model for some representation (spectral for example), but not obvious for another (cepstral for example). Is it always possible to translate one to the other? Is there any merit in transforming a template (for example from cepstrum to spectrum), adjusting it, and transforming back before using it?
