Download and install

The lutear package can be downloaded directly from Loughborough. Unpack it anywhere and compile (it copies stuff to your bin/ directory). In crl161/Makefile I had to change ARFLAGS to 'ruvc' to get it to compile, and then I had to do 'ranlib libCRL.a'.

Once compiled, the 'cclutear' script allows you to compile programs that call lutear routines. I use it to compile a self-standing program for peripheral filtering and hair-cell transduction ('lutf').

General routines and tools can be downloaded from here. Make sure the binaries wind up somewhere in your $path, and the manual pages somewhere in your $manpath.

Model-specific stuff is here. Make sure to follow instructions in the README.

Most of this was written in ANSI C on a UNIX platform (sunos 4.1.1) and compiled with gcc.
