1 Introduction
This report describes the activities that have been carried out at
Ircam on the subject of Score Following in the period
from May to December 2002.
1.1 Organisation of the Report
This document is organised as follows: Section 2 summarises the
project activities that took place during the year (state of affairs, tests,
internships), while the following section 3 to 7 focus on specific
research and development topics around score following: software architecture
(section 3), audio (section 4), statistics and training
(section 5), Midi (section 6), and Tools (section 7).
Section 8 gives an outlook on future development and research
possibilities, including a calendar with the next dates, as known of today,
relevant to score following in section 8.7. Finally, section 9
presents a conclusion. Appendix A lists the release notes of the suivi
package releases, appendix B the available sound recordings, and
appendix C the minutes of some of the more important meetings held on the
subject.
