LIF Order Adaptation

The modular structure (eq. 7) presented in figure 2 actually runs simultaneously N different outputs corresponding to the N first order LIFs. At each time and for any value of the delay, we are free to chose the most appropriate order for the LIF without any extra computation. Furthermore, for each value of delay, two different LIFs, resp. order and order , verify relation 11. Thus, we can keep the same parity order in any case (see section 3.4 for the parity order influence in LIFs). The order of the LIF is dynamically adapted to the most appropriate one by connecting or deconnecting appropriate modules from the global structure.
