Emotional aspects of gesture recognition by a neural network, using dedicated input devices, by P. Modelr and I. Zannos

Abstract:

In this paper a gesture recognition technique for hand movements which is design to control parameters of music, like sound or events is presented. The proposed method will be evaluated with respect to its potential of using it for emotional expression in a performance environment. Criteria for such an evaluation of emotional expression will be given.
